About Pink Ribbon Fishin in support of the McGrath Foundation

55 Australians are diagnosed with Breast Cancer every day and 1 in 7 women will be diagnosed in their lifetime. In Oct 2019, my wife Kelly was one of those people diagnosed at the age of 37 and she is still fighting it today. The McGrath Foundation is an organisation that everyone knows about that you think you'll never need...until you do. 

The McGrath Breast Care Nurses are something else!! From the first day of diagnosis and still to this day, they have supported Kelly through this battle and we are forever grateful for these nurses and the creation of this foundation for their support. 

So we started Pink Ribbon Fishin as we are both keen fishos and spend our lives these days travelling the West Coast and living off the ocean as much as we can. We thought that this is a unique way to be able to raise money for the charities that have helped us along the way and give something back. 

Up for grabs is custom hand made pink ribbon themed fishing rods and speargun from West Australian custom builders, a range of pink themed tackle donated from local tackle suppliers, a live aboard fishing charter and more. The raffle will be run through mid September till mid November for Breast Cancer Awarness Month and will be drawn in person on Saturday the 18th of November at Midday in Bunbury W.A.
