Dedicated to ensuring people live purposeful, healthy and engaging lives, Great Ocean Road Health seeks to create a person-centred, high quality healthcare experience for every client, every time. We provide a range of integrated multidisciplinary health services within a large catchment area extending from Aireys Inlet to Lavers Hill, including the local townships of Deans Marsh and Forrest and the coastal towns of Lorne and Apollo Bay, as well as other small townships in between. We have two hospital campuses, providing urgent care, community services, acute and respite wards, medical centre’s and aged care facilities, in Lorne and Apollo Bay. Our catchment is home to approximately 7,100 permanent residents and over 50,000 visitors, particularly throughout the peak holiday season. All residents and visitors to the region are eligible to access the services we provide. We are a population centric driven health service. We work with our community, staff, volunteers and patients to build healthier lives. We provide a comprehensive range of community health services to support our communities in accessing care closer to home and helping people remain independent in their homes. Through our community engagement events, fundraising activities, patient centred care and staff information sessions, we bring our vision to reality. We are guided by a strong governance framework, which places significant focus on stakeholder engagement, to ensure that advice from the people in our communities, our staff and consumers, directs our decisions on prioritising, configuring and delivering essential health care services for all.
