At My Room Children's Cancer Charity, we're on a mission to fight childhood cancer with all we've got. We're a volunteer-led charity that understands the devastating impact of cancer on families. Our goal is to bring hope and respite to Australian families affected by this disease.
We believe that every child deserves a fighting chance, so we work tirelessly to raise funds for holistic support. From financial assistance through our Samaritan Fund to high-quality clinical care and innovative medical research, trials and equipment, we want to give children the best possible chance of beating cancer.
Our commitment to ending childhood cancer is unwavering. We work hand-in-hand with the brightest minds to find the best possible ways to support families affected by childhood cancer, cutting through the red tape without bureaucracy.
Every dollar counts, and that's why we raise funds ethically and cost-effectively. At least 95% of every donated dollar goes directly towards supporting children with cancer and their families. Raffle Start: 8:00am AEST on 2 August 2024
Raffle Close: 11.59pm AEST on 25 September 2024
Raffle Draw: 10.00am AEST on 26 September 2024
Winner will be announced on the Footy Show Grand Final Nine My Room Telethon on Thursday, 26th September 2024.
5. Eligibility to Participate
Participants must:
- be at least 18 years of age;
- reside in Australia; and
- purchase and register their tickets between the relevant Permit Start Date and the Close Date.
Board members and senior managers of My Room or Ralph D'Silva Mitsubishi, employees and contractors of RaffleTix, or any person directly engaged in conducting the raffle draw and any Related Person of the abovementioned persons are ineligible to purchase raffle tickets for themselves or on behalf of any other person.
"Related Person" in this clause means any spouse (including de-facto spouse), parents, children, and any other family members residing at the same premises as the person.
Any tickets purchased in breach of this clause will not be valid and cannot be redeemed for any prize.
6. Maximum Number of Raffle Tickets and Entries
There are 7,500 tickets ("Raffle Tickets") available to purchase at a cost of $20 each.
There is no limit to the number of Raffle Tickets per entrant, subject to ticket availability.
7. Verification Requirements
If requested by the My Room or D'Silva Mitsubishi, a person drawn as the winner of a prize must produce proof of age and residency prior to being awarded a prize. If they do not do this promptly to the reasonable satisfaction of the My Room or D'Silva Mitsubishi, My Room may redraw the prize subject to the relevant regulatory approvals, in which case that person forfeits any right to claim the prize.
8. Draw Details
The Prize will be drawn at 10am AEST on 26 September 2024 at 64 Sutton Street, North Melbourne VIC 3051. The draw will take place in accordance with State Government regulations. An electronic draw will be conducted. First and only prize will be drawn first. The Winner will be announced on the Footy Show Grand Final Nine My Room Telethon on Thursday, 26th September 2024.
The My Room Children's Cancer Charity Mitsubishi Raffle will be advertised before the draw on the My Room Telethon, which will be broadcast by Channel 9 on 26 September 2024. Further promotions will be done on social media platforms by My Room.
9. Claiming the Prize
Winners will be notified by telephone and in writing within 3 business days of the Draw Date, by 1 October 2024. Prize Winners' names will be published on the My Room website and social media pages by 1 October 2024.
In the event that the Prize Winner is initially unavailable, the Prize Winner may contact hello@myroom.com.au to claim the Prize. The Prize Winner will be asked to provide documents confirming their identity that relates to the ticket drawn.
The Prize Winner will win a 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander ES 7 Seat 2WD Wagon in white valued at $44,990 (drive away) ("Prize").
The Prize includes Victorian stamp duty payable upon transfer to the Prize Winner and Victorian registration paid until [insert], however motor vehicle insurance is not included. If the Prize Winner requires the Prize to be delivered to a State other than Victoria, then the registration costs for the Prize must be paid in the relevant State by the entrant, and the entrant may then obtain reimbursement of the registration costs from Ralph D'Silva Mitsubishi upon providing proof of payment of those registration costs to Ralph D'Silva Mitsubishi.
There may be a wait time for up to 28 days following the date the Prize is drawn. The Winner will be notified when the Prize is ready for collection.
The Prize will be made available for collection by the Prize Winner from Ralph D'Silva Mitsubishi at 573-603 High Street, Preston, VIC 3072. If delivery is required to be made to the Prize Winner, then the cost of delivery will be borne by the Prize Winner and Ralph D'Silva Mitsubishi will provide quotes for the cost of delivery prior to confirming delivery.
10. Prize Claim Date
Winners have twelve (12) months from the date they are notified in which to claim their prize, unless the raffle is open in ACT.
If the winner resides in the ACT and they do not claim their prize by 12pm on 26 October 2024, a redraw/unclaimed prize draw will be held in the same manner as the original draw at 12pm AEST on 28 October 2024, at 64 Sutton Street, North Melbourne Vic 3051. If the redraw winner does not claim their Prize within 12 months from the date, they are notified in which to claim their prize, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize.
If you are a Winner, you are responsible for your use of the Prize, including complying with all relevant laws and any applicable terms and conditions of use.
11. Unclaimed Prizes
If a Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date or is deemed invalid in accordance with the Entry Restrictions, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize. Proceeds from such sale will be paid to the My Room to be used for not-for-profit purposes.
12. Refunds
There will be no refunds offered for the purchase of Raffle Tickets.
