Kepnock Scouts is part of the Worldwide Organisation of Scouting. Based in Bundaberg in regional Queensland; our scout group offers young people aged 5-18 the opportunity to participate in a diverse range of activities that develop skills in young people such as leadership, teamwork, problem solving and communication.
Today’s Scouts can take part in an extraordinary variety of outdoor activities, from ‘traditional Scouting skills’ such as camping and bushcraft, through to more extreme challenges such as abseiling, overnight hiking, rafting, canoeing, canyoning, snow activities, rock climbing, sailing… even flying!
The Scouts Australia Program also incorporates contemporary issues such as youth health, ‘responsible risk-taking’, vocational skills, and issues pertinent to Indigenous Australians. We offer an Award Scheme that encourages participation in the full range of activities available and provides recognition of individual achievement.
Your support of this raffle allows Kepnock Scout Group to continue to provide opportunities for our youth to engage with this broad spectrum of Scouting Adventures, especially in 2021 with the opportunity for our Cub Scout Section to join with other Cub Scouts from around the state at "Cuboree" in September and in 2022 for our Scouts to join in a national "Jamboree".
